    Found a live, apparently healthy mouse in my kitchen sink last night. Eek! He ran, I pointed a cat at him, mouse ran behind the couch, cat in hot pursuit. I'm just afraid he's going to die under the couch.

    • We had mice while living in the worst apartment complex in all of Eugene ~~ The French Quarter on W. 6th.  They came from next door, where the prossies held loud parties on into the night, while I transcribed in the kitchen.  They were quite bold about people.  Finally manager came out with poison packets which he put under the oven and sink, etc.  Mice all gone.  No horrible stench.  Before that, Steve bought mousetraps.  Hated the way they made that snapping noise and often flipped over when activated, but I hated more cleaning up mouse poo.  Wish we could have kittehs ~~ maybe when Steve's voc rehab starts paying?  Gwenhwyfar pointed out one can't have pets unless one can pay for vet bills.
