The tampon was used in the engine compartment where the oil fill cap is located. Ashes were at the gas cap area and the oil fill cap area.

Blood was also reported on the front passenger seat though police did not report either of the Deshong's found injured at the time of their arrest or any other possible source.

The vehicle's owner, Falon Clark, 25, arrived at the scene with a second driver who then fled but was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

That driver, Gary Boogs, reported that earlier Patricia Deshong, who was soon a short time later with Quentin Deshong, had thrown a beer bottle through his truck's back window.
Upon Ms Deshong's arrest, she was found in possession of a license plate and registration card which according to the Smoking Gun's report belonged to Boogs' truck.

Both of the Deshongs, whose relationship was not reported, were found under the influence of alcohol.

According to Public Opinion Online, both are being charged with attempted arson, two counts of felony criminal mischief and public drunkenness.

While at the police station Ms Deshong also is reported to have made threats to kill a state trooper once released.

Those threats gave her an additional charge of making terrorist threats.

Both of the Deshongs posted a $25,000 bond allowing their release on January 10.

Their preliminary hearings will be held on February 7.
